Biography
A native of New Jersey, Nancy Reale Gifford received a BA in Music, cum laude, from Rutgers University and migrated to southeastern Pennsylvania, where she has taught music and directed choirs (K-12) in several school and church settings. She composes for her choral groups and accepts commissions, and her music has been published by five publishers.
Nancy moved to Doylestown in 2006, and in 2008 she re-started the Children's Choir at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and returned to private piano teaching. In the fall of 2009, she enrolled as a graduate student at Westminster Choir College, where she continues as a Composition major. She is a member of the Board of Governors of the Bucks County Choral Society, serving on a Performing Arts Advocacy committee. Nancy Gifford lives with her British husband, John Humphreys, and has two grown sons and a step-daughter.
